The Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up for the Carabao Cup third-round tie against Liverpool has been announced.
Tottenham Hotspur are set to play what is their second fixture in this season’s Carabao Cup tonight when they take to the pitch against Liverpool at Anfield.
In their last encounter in round two of the League Cup, the Lilywhites managed a 5-1 win against Championship side Charlton Athletic.
They will now be hoping to secure another victory tonight to keep their hopes in the tournament alive, as Tottenham’s focus remains on domestic competitions this season, having failed to qualify for European football in the 2025/26 season.

Tottenham Hotspur confirmed team XI vs Liverpool
The Spurs manager has now named his starting XI to take on Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool this evening. Roberto De Zerbi already hinted that he was set to rotate his squad, giving game time to the “other players”.
That is exactly what has occurred, with several players who have not been heavily involved in the Premier League starting from the off.
Martin Dubravka makes his debut in goal, Marcos Senesi is named in the Spurs backline, while Lucas Bergvall has earned a starting spot in midfield.
In attack, Mohammed Kudus starts for the first time since February, while youngster Luca Williams‑Barnett has been named on the bench for Tottenham U21’s in their PL International Cup opener against Dinamo Zagreb.

Spurs aim to build confidence in crucial cup tie
It certainly is a big game for Spurs, who will be aiming to manage a victory given their Premier League struggles so far this season.
Tottenham have not won a game in the English top flight in 2026/27, nor have they scored a goal, and no doubt managing such a feat against Liverpool would do their confidence a lot of good.
However, history does not entirely favour Spurs, who have not won at Anfield since 2011. But in the Carabao Cup, Tottenham’s record against the Reds is much better than many fans realise, as they have won five out of ten of their meetings.
Liverpool have not looked their usual, threatening self this season and come into the fixture on the back of a 0-0 draw against Fulham.
