Tottenham are continuing their aggressive summer rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi and have now entered the race for another West Ham United player after already being linked with multiple names from their relegated London rivals.
The 2025/26 season is certainly not one Tottenham Hotspur supporters will want to look back on fondly after the club only narrowly avoided relegation on the final day, finishing just two points above the drop zone.
However, one thing this disastrous campaign should provide is clarity regarding the mistakes Spurs cannot afford to repeat, with the biggest issue clearly being their lack of squad depth and overall quality in several positions.
From the outside, Tottenham do appear to be moving quickly in the market already. Multiple reports suggest Spurs are close to verbal agreements for both Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, while several other names continue to emerge as De Zerbi looks to reshape the squad across the pitch.

Tottenham linked with Aaron Wan-Bissaka after West Ham relegation
One club Tottenham are expected to monitor heavily this summer is West Ham United, who Spurs relegated by a margin of just two points.
Interestingly, relations between the two clubs have changed significantly over the past year after Tottenham ended a 14-year period without business between the sides by signing Mohammed Kudus last summer.
Since then, Spurs have also been linked with Crysencio Summerville and even Jarrod Bowen in recent weeks. Now, according to TEAMtalk, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has become the latest West Ham player attracting interest from Tottenham.
Despite still having five years remaining on his contract, West Ham are believed to be open to offers for several senior players following relegation, especially those on significant wages. Wan-Bissaka is reportedly viewed internally as one of the most realistic high-profile departures due to the amount of interest surrounding him.
The report adds that a fee in the region of £10 million could be enough to tempt West Ham into a sale, although any interested club would also need to absorb the defender’s sizeable salary.
Tottenham are not alone, however, with Everton, Fulham and Sunderland all believed to see the deal as a strong market opportunity.
Tottenham’s left-back situation looks far from straightforward
This whole Wan-Bissaka link will naturally confuse some Spurs supporters, especially given the club have verbally agreed a deal Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson after also signing Souza last summer.
Souza will likely head out on loan due to his lack of Premier League experience, which would leave Tottenham still needing reliable depth in the left-back position.
First choice Destiny Udogie has been excellent whenever fit, but injuries have consistently disrupted his three seasons in North London, with the Italian already missing more than 300 days through various setbacks.
That record makes it difficult for Spurs to rely solely on him across an entire campaign, particularly with Juventus reportedly interested in signing him this summer.
Djed Spence can provide cover on the left, but the England international is naturally more comfortable on the right side, especially when delivering crosses, while Ben Davies could also depart after more than a decade at the club.
For now, we believe Tottenham will keep faith in Udogie heading into next season, although Robertson, Spence and even Micky Van de Ven could both provide cover at left-back when required.
