Tottenham Hotspur continue to be interested in a deal for Ibrahim Mbaye, and they may have one advantage over the Paris Saint-Germain star’s other suitors.
Tottenham are tracking many wide players around Europe, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side expected to make multiple additions to their forward line before the new campaign gets underway.
It first emerged at the start of this month that Spurs had registered an interest in Ibrahim Mbaye, who struggled to get starts at PSG last season.
This was later confirmed by a journalist, Santi Aouna, who named Tottenham as one of the clubs at the front of the queue to land the 18-year-old winger.

RMC Sport has now confirmed that the Senegal international is now attracting ‘immense interest’ as we approach the final month of the transfer window.
The report names Tottenham Hotspur as one of the top clubs that have enquired to PSG about Mbaye’s availability, but the Lilywhites face intense competition for the player.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, and Chelsea are also monitoring the winger’s situation closely.
Many talent spotters across Europe consider Mbaye to be one of the brightest young prospects across the continent, and it is asserted that PSG are not ruling out a sale if a ‘good offer’ arrives.
How much do Spurs need to pay for Mbaye?
RMC Sport say that the PSG hierarchy have made it clear to suitors that it would take over €50m (£42.7m) to prise away the youngster from the French capital.
The website states that it is unclear at the moment if any of Mbaye’s suitors are willing to cough up what the Ligue 1 giants are demanding.
However, it is revealed that the Senegalese star recently signed with Gestifute agency, run by Jorge Mendes. This could work in Tottenham’s favour as Mendes was instrumental in Mateus Fernandes’ move to Spurs earlier this summer.
