Tottenham midfielder spotted on holiday with transfer target Alex Scott

A Tottenham youngster’s social media post has caught the eye of Spurs fans amid speculation linking Alex Scott with a move to N17.

It is well documented that Spurs’ central midfielders struggled to progress the ball last season, which was one of the main reasons behind the team’s struggles in the Premier League.

One would expect the Lilywhites to enter the transfer market to fix that problem, which may be why Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Alex Scott.

The 22-year-old came of age at the Vitality Stadium last term, and there have been suggestions of a possible transfer battle between Spurs and Man United for the Bournemouth man this summer.

Tottenham midfielder Alfie Devine may have sent a hint regarding Alex Scott

It is well documented that Scott is a boyhood Spurs fan, which many Tottenham fans would be hoping gives the Lilywhites an advantage over other suitors in the transfer race.

Amid the transfer rumours, Alfie Devine’s post on his Instagram stories has caused a buzz, with the Spurs academy graduate seen hanging out with the Tottenham target.

The pair are pictured having lunch together, and while it may have been an innocent post by Devine, some Spurs supporters would be hoping it is a hint regarding a potential switch to Hotspur Way for Scott.

Would Spurs be better off signing Alex Scott over Sandro Tonali?

Tottenham are now pushing ahead with a move for Newcastle star Sandro Tonali, and one would imagine that signing the Italian would likely end Scott’s chances of landing up at Spurs this summer.

According to some sources, the Magpies value Tonali at over £100m, while it has been suggested by a few outlets that Scott could be available for closer to £60m.

Some Spurs fans may feel that the Bournemouth star would be a more astute signing than the former AC Milan man, given his age, high ceiling and his profile, which is something the Lilywhites lack in their squad.
