Journalist Alex Crook has revealed what his sources are telling him about the possibility of Cody Gakpo leaving Anfield amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
It emerged last week that Spurs expressed an interest in Gakpo, who scored nine times and provided six assists for Liverpool across all competitions last season.
In fact, The Sun claimed that Tottenham were preparing a club-record £73.5m offer for the Netherlands international as they look to make a big statement of their ambition.
The same report explained that Roberto De Zerbi’s side had identified the Liverpool man as ‘ideal’ for their rebuild this summer, as they embark on a new era.

In fact, several sources have claimed over recent days that the Liverpool winger feels unsettled at Merseyside.
This includes a recent update from TEAMtalk, which stated that Gakpo’s representatives were exploring options for a summer move as the 27-year-old is concerned about falling down Andoni Iraola’s pecking order next season.
However, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has now rubbished those claims, stating that there is no truth to reports of the Dutch attacker wanting to leave Liverpool. He revealed that rumours are ‘wide off the mark’.

Tottenham have been locked in talks with Man City over a deal for Savinho, who has been a long-term target for the North London club.
Reports indicate that Spurs are now confident of striking a £60m deal for the Brazilian winger, but he is not expected to be the only wide player to arrive through the door at Hotspur Way this summer.
