A reputed Italian journalist has revealed what his sources are telling him about the reports linking Juventus’ Gleison Bremer to a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
It appears that De Zerbi’s men are prioritising rebuilding their defence at the start of the summer before moving on to other areas of the pitch.
Two defenders have already arrived through the door on free transfers, while Jan Paul van Hecke could be the next player to arrive at Tottenham, who are accelerating talks with Brighton.
Another centre-back, who has been on Spurs’ radar for a long time, is Gleison Bremer, who was first mooted as a target for Tottenham back in 2022.

Tottenham not actively pursuing Gleison Bremer this summer
It has been revealed over recent months that the Lilywhites may have a huge opportunity to land the Juventus star this summer as a £47m release clause in his contract is now active.
Journalist Alfredo Pedulla has now taken to social media to confirm that such a clause exists and reveals that the Bianconeri are open to selling the 29-year-old.
However, Pedulla added that the Brazil international is currently not a target for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Spurs will have enough centre-backs if they land Jan Paul Van Hecke
If the Lilywhites clinch the Van Hecke deal, one would expect that to be the end of their defensive additions for the current transfer window.
This is even though Cristian Romero and Radu Dragusin are expected to depart Tottenham this summer.
Even if Luka Vuskovic is loaned out again, De Zerbi will have four solid options at centre-back in Van de Ven, Senesi, Van Hecke and Danso, with Ben Davies available to cover in the event of an injury crisis.
