The future of Randal Kolo Muani continues to be the subject of much speculation after the end of his loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

Earlier in the summer, it was reported that Tottenham had decided against pursuing a permanent deal for Kolo Muani, who only managed one Premier League goal during his loan spell in North London.

The Frenchman was expected to return to Juventus this summer, but there has been a big twist in the race for the forward over the last few days.

Sources from France have suggested that Tottenham have now made contact to explore re-signing the 27-year-old, as his move to Turin stalled.

Randal Kolo Muani has been offered to Tottenham, but deal is not progressing

Tottenham fans are not best pleased about the news of the club’s interest in Kolo Muani, having been left distinctly unimpressed by the forward in his loan spell last season.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has now explained that it is PSG who have offered the player to Spurs, as well as other English and German clubs, but he added that there is no sign that De Zerbi’s men are making progress in the deal.

Jacobs said on GiveMeSport’s Market Madness Podcast: “Now, what’s happening is PSG have moved from giving preference to Kolo Muani’s desired move to opening the door to both English and, I’m told, German suitors as well, because they want to get this deal done, they want to facilitate the sale, and it’s currently not progressing with that move to Juventus.

“So now PSG have to start looking at other options, and that’s where Spurs come in. I’m not aware that Spurs have made a decision on Randal Kolo Muani yet, and if they want to try and do that deal, and the expectation was that he would just go. But it’s PSG driving the possibility to other clubs and offering him back to Tottenham and others to see whether there’s a deal to be had because they’re not making progress at the moment.”

Two other Premier League clubs eyeing Kolo Muani

Just a couple of days ago, Foot Mercato reported that Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also exploring a deal for Kolo Muani, as Juve were struggling to meet PSG’s demands.

The outlet claimed that a move to Borussia Dortmund was also on the cards for the France international, who previously excelled in the Bundesliga during his time with Eintracht Frankfurt.

With Tottenham now exploring moves for the likes of Eli Junior Kroupi, Rafael Leao and Antonio Nusa, it certainly appears that Kolo Muani is not anywhere near the top of De Zerbi’s wishlist.
