Tottenham just learned a little more about Rafael Leao and AC Milan’s stance thanks to a transfer approach from Galatasaray.
Spurs continue to scour the market for a left-winger, and the Milan star’s name has repeatedly been mentioned as an option for the Lilywhites over the last few weeks.
In fact, sources indicate that Tottenham have held discussions over a deal for Leao, who is looking to leave San Siro in search of a new challenge.
The 27-year-old is thought to be keen on linking up with Roberto De Zerbi’s side, but another European club are also keeping close tabs on his situation.

Tottenham target Rafael Leao is not keen on a move to Turkey
SportsMedia set journalist Orazio Accomando has now claimed that Galatasaray are continuing to keep tabs on the Milan star.
The Rossoneri are asking for a fee of over €50m (£43m) for Leao’s signature, but so far, the player has not greenlighted a switch to the Istanbul club.
Accomando wrote on X: “Galatasaray continues to monitor the situation of Rafael Leão, who is leaving Milan. The Portuguese player has not yet opened up to a transfer to Turkey. The Rossoneri are asking for a figure exceeding 50M and, at the moment, do not intend to accept a loan with an option.”
Leao does not appear to be Spurs’ top winger target
The fact that Tottenham have not substantiated their interest in Leao, despite the player being available for sale, suggests that he is a backup option rather than one of De Zerbi’s top winger targets.
Over recent days, many outlets have claimed that Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit of Savinho, who has been a long-term target for the Lilywhites.
Meanwhile, reports continue to suggest that Spurs are keeping tabs on Benfica star Andreas Schjelderup after the 22-year-old’s outstanding displays for Norway at the World Cup.
