Savinho is not the only Manchester City forward who Roberto De Zerbi wants to bring to Tottenham as the Italian continues rebuilding his squad ahead of his first full season in charge.

Since the start of the summer, it has been widely reported that Tottenham are holding talks over a deal for Savinho, who has been a long-term target for the North Londoners.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Spurs are confident of striking a £60m deal with Man City for the Brazilian, who is thought to be keen on making the move to N17 in search of regular game time.

It has now emerged that the Lilywhites are also pursuing another Manchester City player who is currently at the World Cup.

Tottenham ready to make a move for Man City’s Omar Marmoush

Journalist Nicolo Schira has now taken to social media to reveal that the Lilywhites have shown interest in Omar Marmoush, who is also seeking to leave City this summer in search of regular game time.

The journalist added that Roberto De Zerbi is a big fan of the Egyptian international and that an approach from Spurs is expected to arrive over the coming days.

Schira wrote on X: Tottenham have shown interest in Manchester City’s striker Omar Marmoush, who could leave MCFC because the Egyptian player wants to play more. Roberto De Zerbi loves him, and THFC are ready to make an attempt in next days.”

Why De Zerbi wants a profile such as Marmoush

Two weeks ago, Sky Sports revealed that De Zerbi is keen on signing a versatile forward capable of operating in multiple roles across the front three.

The outlet explained that the Tottenham boss wants such a profile to ensure his side would be well-equipped should they be hit with another injury crisis next season.

Marmoush certainly fits that profile, but his arrival could be bad news for Mathys Tel, who continues to be linked with a departure from Spurs.
