Tottenham Hotspur are still looking to sell Richarlison despite the closure of the English transfer window, but their job has just got harder.
With the transfer window in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and a few other countries still open, Spurs are still attempting to offload the Brazilian.
It emerged on Wednesday that Trabzonspor have rejected two offers for Richarlison as they try to take the striker to Turkey before the September 4 deadline.
It later emerged that the 29-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Turkish club and was keen to leave Spurs, but the transfer may have hit a hurdle after the latest developments at Trabzonspor.

Blow for Tottenham as Trabzonspor agree deal for Richarlison alternative
Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Trabzonspor have struck an agreement to sign Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju.
The 22-year-old centre-forward is now set for his medical at the Turkish club, with the transfer expected to soon be finalised.
Romano wrote on X: “Franculino to Trabzonspor, here we go! Verbal agreement in place and medical booked for the new striker. All set to be signed in the next 24 hours. Franculino rejected several proposals, and he’s now set for Trabzon move.”
With just 24 hours to go until the Turkish transfer window closes, it is certainly not looking good for Spurs’ efforts to cash in on the former Everton man.
Roberto De Zerbi may have a big problem to solve with Richarlison
Richarlison’s emotional outburst on Monday has put him in an awkward position with the fan base, and it will be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets if he does stay.
De Zerbi has been clear from the start that he does not want to keep any player who is not fully committed to the project, but he could be stuck with one such player.
The Italian will be keen to ensure that Richarlison is not a disruptive influence on the dressing room if he stays.
The transfer window for Saudi Pro League clubs is open until 6 September, which means there is still hope for Spurs in getting the Brazilian out the door.
