Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Manchester City winger Savinho this summer, and a fresh report from Brazil has now shed light on where negotiations currently stand.
It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Tottenham will look to strengthen their wide attacking options this summer, with some sources even suggesting that De Zerbi would like more than one winger to arrive.
One player who has remained firmly on Spurs’ radar is Savinho. Tottenham were interested in the Brazilian last summer and were reportedly willing to spend around £70m on the winger, only for Manchester City to refuse to entertain a sale.
Things have changed since then as Savinho struggled for regular starts last season, making just seven starts under Pep Guardiola, and City are now prepared to listen to offers. Reports have suggested his asking price has dropped to around £60m, while Spurs are understood to have already agreed personal terms with Savinho.
Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for several weeks and there has now been another update on the situation.

Tottenham remain in talks with Manchester City over Savinho
According to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, discussions between Tottenham and Manchester City are continuing but remain at a ‘preliminary stage’.
The report claims that Tottenham have already held discussions with Manchester City over a potential transfer for the Brazilian. Arsenal had also explored a move for the winger, but their interest failed to progress after City quickly rejected the idea of a loan deal.
RTI Esporte add that Manchester City continue to view Savinho as a valuable long-term asset, despite being open to the possibility of a sale under the right circumstances.
While different reports have suggested varying figures, the latest claim is that City would consider a permanent transfer for a fee in the region of €50m (£43.1m).
Manchester City want a replacement lined up first
One factor continuing to slow negotiations is Manchester City’s own transfer business.
We previously reported that incoming manager Enzo Maresca is prepared to sanction Savinho’s departure, but only once the club secure a replacement.
City’s preferred option is believed to be Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, for whom the Toffees are still trying to secure a new contract, with the player yet to commit his long-term future.
That uncertainty has created a knock-on effect for Savinho’s situation. As a result, Manchester City are reluctant to approve the winger’s exit immediately.
