Tottenham Hotspur have now made further advancement in their pursuit of Savinho, days after reigniting their interest following last summer’s failed pursuit.

Tottenham Hotspur are clearly big admirers of Manchester City Brazilian winger Savinho.

The Lilywhites attempted to land the former Girona star last year, but their efforts were scuppered by City, with Pep Guardiola opting against selling the versatile wide forward.

Fast forward a year, and Spurs are back in for Savinho as they look to bolster their attack ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Spurs Web has since reported Savinho’s stance on a move, revealing he is open to making the switch to north London as he is keen to work under Roberto De Zerbi.

Tottenham open talks with Manchester City over Savinho transfer

According to Ge.globo, Tottenham are now said to be advancing in their pursuit of the Manchester City winger.

It is claimed that Spurs have opened talks with Manchester City over a potential deal for Savinho.

The Brazilian struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola last season, and we have since reported that City are open to parting ways with the winger.

It is understood the club’s priority is to hand Jeremy Doku a new contract as the Citizens prepare for life after Guardiola, who ended his 10-year spell last season.

Savinho could be available at a reduced fee

Savinho not only struggled for game time but also found it difficult to make an impact in terms of output, with his goal contributions last season falling well below expectations.

The 22-year-old managed just one league goal for Manchester City and recorded seven goal involvements across all competitions.

It is now understood that Spurs could sign Savinho for £60m, £10m less than the £70m they bid last summer. With talks now open, Tottenham will hope to get a deal agreed before other suitors begin to circle.
