https://theboyhotspur.com/mourinho-reveals-that-the-penny-has-finally-dropped-for-harry-kane/ Good article pointing out pretty obviously that Kane needs to know when he needs to rest, that is also weve git to look at the medical staff really use the technology to tell him when his muscles or bones and ankles need resting up?

I have offered this advice often over the years. I also added to put away 10% of their income into a cash form of saving all their ives. Our life style at the lower level wil be just as good. You'd be surprised how much money we waste on meaningless things during our lives.Having a large amount of cash when you retire will give you the means to really enjoy retirement. Also, whole of life insurance is cheap and the earlier you take it out, the cheaper it is. Too many idiots drive and leaving a wife and family penniless is irresponsible in my book. Another alternative is buying a 2nd house and renting it out. I suggested this 40 years ago and he now has 4 on top of the one he lives in. He is going to take early retirement this year when he is 60. I got my 3 nieces to take out an endowment policy when they reached 18. One of them this year cashed hers in and last year and got £60,000. I took early retirement at 58 and, until last year, have had 3 holidays every year in hotels and on cruises. I have been to nearly 100 countries. I have had my bad times including being nearly bankrupted by my first wife. However, I kept to my plans for my retirement and it paid off. Finally, no begging letters please. I have made the missus treasurer and you have more chance of getting blood out of a stone money from her. Mind you, she's very good - she gives me my 50 pence pocket money every Saturday even if I haven't spent all of the previous week's. COYS

A bit of a morbid afternoon for me., I firstly had to find the addresses and then type letters to the Army Pension office and OAP Pensioners Office, to ascertain how much pensions the missus will get if I pop off before her. I thought it best to start tidying up my affairs during these difficult and trying times. Last February when I was super healthy and fit I hadn't even considered the chance that I may die - never ever thought about it. I really believed I would get the birthday card from the reigning monarch when I was 100. Thanks to pneumonia and Covid, I now have heart concerns and my life expectancy, though not too short I hope, is simply living under an umbrella of uncertainty. Oh well! Thereby lies a lesson in life for you youngsters - you never know what lies around the corner, so don't take things for granted. COYS,

Ok see it's like you must know my worst nightmare part from every diy nightmare going on in my house winks giving away a goal would be the final straw The spammers hate must stem back to when they won nothing only actually got Bobby Moore and Joe Cole to scream about, I mean our trophy cabinets dusty but there's just has a picture of Bobby Moore holding up the World Cup. I'll always be happy and proud to know I wrote thfc on a pillar at their ground while I was at work meeting In my heart I want a bold brave attacking 3.0 win, my head is saying scrape a draw, they score first giving it all the large until the 89th minute and then winks shoots it goes at the corner flag Sissoko gets a deflection of his ass and it goes in the top of the net.....

I am optimistic West Spam will get 3 red cards and we will attack like nothing in the world by shooting 2 times on goal, snatching a huge point in a super 0-0 performance.

Moyes must be relishing the thought of putting one over us this weekend. They are in 5th spot and 6pts ahead of us but we have a game in hand. Hopefully a win in the Europa League tonight will boost confidence levels in time for the match. My personal view is we will come away with a highly contested draw, something like 2-2 but maybe we can nick it if everyone plays their part. Let's just hope Jose brings a plan A and B in case things go awry in the first half. COYS

Son Joins Elite Spurs Club ..

Not just a credit to the club but a credit and example to the whole of the footballing world. I love the guy. For modesty, personality and dedication, he is out of the same mould as the wonderful Jimmy Greaves. COYS

Son Joins Elite Spurs Club ..

Son Heung-min joined an exclusive club at Tottenham Hotspur with his early goal against Wolfsberger on Thursday night. The South Korean star stooped to send a header into the Austrian side's net from Gareth Bale's cross in the first half of the Europa League round of 32 first leg tie in Budapest. It was Son's 18 goal of the season which, when allied with his 12 assists, means the 28-year-old has directly contributed towards 30 goals in 35 matches this season. The strike in Hungary also elevated Son into exclusive company at Tottenham. That header meant Son became only the fourth Spurs player in the club's history to score 20 goals in European competition - not including qualifiers - after his team-mate Harry Kane (29), Martin Chivers (22) and Jermain Defoe (20). With Tottenham 3-0 up at half-time, Jose Mourinho took Son off to rest him for Sunday's Premier League derby at West Ham, replacing him with Carlos Vinicius. "Son played 90 minutes against West Brom, and 120 against Everton, 90 against City, and today I just asked him to do his job, and his job was to help us a little bit to get through this match," said the Spurs boss. "So I believe 3-0, scoring his goal, which for him is a special goal, he is a very sensitive special kid, emotional kid, so he is the last winner of the Puskas Award, and to come here to the Puskas Arena, and score a goal for him has a really special feeling. "Job done. Goodbye. Let Vinicius play. Vinicius is a very hard-working guy, always ready to help the team when we need, so it was always fair for Vinicius to have 45 minutes and to score his goal." Link : https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/son-heung-min-joined-new-19875159 The guy is a credit to the club and an ideal role model for any would be footballer with the manner in which he conducts himself both on and off the pitch. He looked much happier the other night with having Bale to play alongside. He clearly misses Kane but maybe now we have an alternative partner for him this season when Harry is not available.

    Kane finally knows his body

I hadn't seen it that way, but it seems spot on. If Harry has one eye on the future, the growing suspicion he could be someone who's career that could be shortened by his ankle problems won't help his cause. He may have secretly set wheels in motion for all we know. Other points that has not been mentioned, even if we get 4th or win the EC, does he really trust JM? Does he like the way the team is made to play in some games? He will have seen how JM has treated the likes of Gareth and Dele and doesn't like it, is he unhappy with that? He is saying the right things in public implying 100% support. In the Army we called that, 'following the party line'. I had to do it quite a lot once I was commissioned. If nothing else, it gives us something to talk about. COYS

    Kane finally knows his body

I hate to say this (I really do) but it may also be a case of Harry realising that he is no good to anyone if he keeps trying to come back from injury too early. That means not only Spurs but any prospective buyer who may come calling in the next transfer window. Let's face it, as much as we all love the guy there are very few who would deny him the chance of major honours at one of the very top European clubs whilst he's still young and fit enough to play in such elite circles. I believe he is perhaps coming to terms with the fact that if he wants to win things he may need to leave Spurs and in order to go to a truly competitive team he needs to keep his commodity value as high as he can. That does not mean long lay offs with regular niggly problems. Maybe Harry is considering how best to enjoy life after Tottenham ??

Jose's current view on the subject : Mourinho has told talkSPORT: “The same way you lose three matches and go to a bad position, the same way you win three matches and go to a much better position. “Like it happened last season, let’s keep it going until the end and let’s see what the table will give us. In the end, the table always gives you what you deserve and it’s very premature to think about the definition of the table. People still have matches in hand, and in our case we have played already two matches against Liverpool, two matches against Chelsea, two matches against Manchester City; there are other teams who haven’t played a second game against one of the top teams. We have one match in hand. I know already because Southampton has to play the quarter-final of the FA Cup in the same weekend we should play - I know already we are not going to play that match. “It’s very complicated so we have to fight and we have to wait until the last match to see what happens because anything can happen. We can finish top four, we can finish top six or we can finish outside top six. Anything can happen and we must make sure the best possible thing can happen.” Tottenham may be some way down the Premier League standings, but they are only six points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea. They also boast a game in hand on all of the top six, meaning that forward momentum could be established.Spurs supporters had been hoping for much more this season, with Mourinho’s men topping the table at one stage, but they can still finish with a flourish Link: https://www.goal.com/en/news/mourinho-spurs-top-four-chances-slipping-ninth/1lb8bcaqfnb1m168er5rj6vxvw I must admit that it's a convincing argument to remain positive...so I will !! There are two bits of advice I would give anyone, regardless of age. The first is to see a solicitor and write out your last will and testament. To many youngsters it's a subject that seems far off in the future but life holds no guarantees. I had a good friend who was a scrap yard millionaire and lived with his partner (they never married) and their three children. He died very suddenly and intestate. His partner spent years and a fortune in having to fight his family and some very expensive solicitors for her and the children to get their just inheritance. Had he left a will then it would have been a simple matter of abiding by it's contents. I never imagined being 65 but it snuck up on me very quickly. So my second piece of advice is as soon as you start work begin a pension scheme, even if it has to be a private one. I was lucky and worked for an American company. I began drawing on mine at the age of 50 when I left and I was also able to take a lump sum. That enabled me to have a much less stressful and lower salaried job for 12 years until I fully retired at 62. This April I will be 66 and also entitled to my state pension. I could never have come over to Ireland without making such a provision. So my message to all is get a works / private pension sorted and make a will as soon as you are able. They are both great 'cushions' to have and something you will be very glad you did in years to come.

They’re playing much better than us, have good morale, moyes set them up hard to beat and they always raise their game against spurs because they absolutely hate Tottenham. That hatred is instilled in them from an early age, I know because I have a lot of West Ham supporting mates. I cannot see us winning this one but if Kane plays and he’s on form we might surprise the form book. I’ll stick some money on West Ham just in case to make me feel better if we lose! Head says 2-1 West Ham

I don't think we will lose concentration like we did last time when we let them come back and Winks' error at the worst time let them steal a draw. Spurs with a suprisingly comfortable 2-0 is my guess.

I'd like to see JM start with the same team for the 2nd leg. I know he has to rotate, but I feel he changes too many and too often. If he starts with the same eleven, at least we can judge whether today's first half was the real deal or one of these one off games. COYS
