Tottenham continue their efforts to bolster their forward line ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season in charge, and they have plenty of work to do with the new campaign fast approaching.

The new season is now just 12 days away, and some Spurs fans are understandably concerned that the Lilywhites are yet to bolster their attack.

Spurs have identified several forward alternatives after Eli Junior Kroupi’s injury, with one of them being Torres, who has just a year left on his contract with Barcelona.

It emerged last week that Tottenham had made fresh contact with the Spain international’s entourage, but PSG were the front-runners for his signature.

Tottenham target Ferran Torres agrees personal terms with PSG

In a blow to Spurs, TEAMtalk have now revealed that Torres has agreed personal terms with PSG ahead of a move to the French capital.

The 26-year-old is now waiting for the two clubs to finalise an agreement, with Barcelona and the Ligue 1 club working on a deal worth around €50m (£43m).

The report confirms that Tottenham and Arsenal both showed ‘genuine’ interest in Torres and the player considered returning to the Premier League.

However, joining European champions PSG and working with Luis Enrique proved more appealing in the end for the former Man City man.

Spurs continue to work on deals for Savinho and Cody Gakpo

It is clear that Savinho and Cody Gakpo are Tottenham’s top targets in the final weeks of the transfer window, but a deal for either player is not proving straightforward.

Spurs are ramping up pressure on Man City to greenlight Savinho’s sale, but it appears Enzo Maresca’s men want a replacement through the door before sending the Brazilian to N17.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have not given Tottenham any encouragement in their pursuit of Gakpo, with the Reds planning for the new season with the Dutchman as part of Andoni Iraola’s squad.
