Roberto De Zerbi has revealed whether the attacking options at Tottenham will suffice this season following the additions of Omar Marmoush and Savio.

Savio and Marmoush became the seventh and eighth signings of what has been an extremely busy summer window for Tottenham.

With just days left until the window slams shut, the big question is whether the Lilywhites could have one more surprise addition in store.

On Friday, De Zerbi hinted that Tottenham may not be done just yet in the transfer window, and he has now made his feelings clear on what he feels about the attacking options at his disposal.

Roberto De Zerbi hints Tottenham could do with another signing in attack

The Tottenham boss was asked about the fact that Spurs already have seven different options in their front three, and whether signing one more would mean too many players.

De Zerbi was asked the question in the context of his previous comments suggesting that he does not want too big a squad.

However, the Italian pointed out that one of Tottenham’s attackers has been ruled out for the majority of the season and admitted another could leave before the September 1 deadline.

When asked if he will have too many attacking options if Spurs sign one more forward, De Zerbi told Football.London: “Odobert is injured for a long time. Before February or March, he is not available, and then maybe one of these [attacking] players can leave before the end of the window.

“I think we have not too many players. And also if you consider last season, not for Tottenham, the Premier League … all clubs suffered many injuries, no? And we have Kudus after six months injured.”

Which attacker are Spurs likely to move for?

Reading between the lines of De Zerbi’s comments, it appears that he and the Tottenham recruitment department ideally want one more forward, although they are not desperate to add one in the final few days of the window.

Richarlison appears to be the one most likely to head through the exit door, and if reports over recent days are to be believed, Tottenham still have not abandoned their pursuit of Cody Gakpo.

With Liverpool having reached an agreement with PSG to sign Bradley Barcola, Spurs will be hoping that the Reds would be willing to come to the negotiating table for the Dutchman.
