Tottenham Hotspur have been strongly linked with Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi for weeks now, with reports continuing to emerge over the player’s stance, Bournemouth’s valuation and Spurs’ transfer plans.
Several sources have backed Tottenham to sign an established striker this summer as part of Roberto De Zerbi’s rebuild following the club’s struggles in front of goal last season. One name that has featured consistently over the past few weeks is Eli Junior Kroupi, who is understood to be on top of Spurs’ striker wishlist.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a remarkable debut Premier League campaign, scoring 13 goals in just 21 appearances, and his performances have attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Barcelona.
We have already reported that Kroupi is believed to favour a move to Tottenham in pursuit of regular first-team football, but completing a deal remains far from straightforward. Let’s have a look at where things currently stand.

Everything we know about Tottenham’s pursuit of Eli Junior Kroupi so far
A few days ago, we reported that Tottenham had received a significant boost after PSG effectively cooled their interest in Kroupi. Reports claimed the French champions believed the striker would be reluctant to move to Paris due to concerns over playing time behind Ousmane Dembele and the club’s other established forwards, leading them to turn their attention towards Barcelona’s Ferran Torres instead.
Barcelona, meanwhile, reportedly view Tottenham as their ‘most dangerous’ rival in the race. Spurs’ willingness to spend heavily this summer, coupled with reports suggesting they are prepared to go as high as £85m, has made them a genuine threat as the Catalan club continue working on other priorities, including a move for Julian Alvarez.
Arsenal, however, remain a genuine concern. According to Football Insider’s sources, Tottenham have actually fallen behind the Gunners in the race for Kroupi, with Bournemouth remaining determined to keep hold of the forward and the asking price potentially stretching Spurs’ budget.
Given Arsenal have done relatively little business so far this summer, there is every chance they could decide to go big on the Frenchman.
How much will Spurs bid and will Bournemouth sell?
Over the past week, multiple reports have suggested Tottenham are preparing a huge offer to ‘test Bournemouth’s resolve’. Transfer expert Pete O’Rourke has claimed Spurs are prepared to bid around £85m for Kroupi. However, he believes even that figure may not be enough to persuade Bournemouth to sell.
The Cherries are determined to keep hold of their best players under new head coach Marco Rose, particularly after qualifying for European football. Having repeatedly lost key talents in previous transfer windows, Bournemouth are understood to be far more resistant to major sales this summer, especially with Kroupi tied down until 2030, leaving them under no financial pressure to negotiate.
That said, Tottenham still have one significant factor working in their favour, and that is the player’s interest in the move. Moreover, his agent has also recently refused to rule out a summer transfer, confirming discussions over his future are ongoing and that no final decision has yet been reached.
For now, Bournemouth’s stance remains unchanged, but with Tottenham expected to submit an official offer in the coming weeks, the saga still appears to have a long way to run.
