Inter Milan are prepared to ramp up their pursuit of Tottenham full‑back Djed Spence in this summer’s transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence enjoyed a stellar World Cup campaign with England after managing a third-place finish.

The full-back made four starts for the Three Lions and delivered top displays in each appearance, making him one of the highest-rated defenders in the competition.

His performances have now caught the eye of clubs in Europe who are keen on securing Spence’s services this summer transfer window.

Inter Milan prepare first bid for Tottenham’s Djed Spence

Inter Milan are amongst the sides showing interest in Spence, with the Serie A champions looking to sign him permanently.

Their interest has remained throughout most of this summer transfer window, and now Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Italian giants are considering putting in a first bid for the versatile full-back.

The transfer guru reports that Inter are prepared to send an official bid for Djed Spence, but only if Tottenham’s exit conditions change.

Spurs have set a £38m (€45m) asking price for the Englishman, but Inter believe the price can be under £34m (€40m). Talks are expected to continue, while Spence himself is keen on a move.

Romano wrote on X: “Inter are prepared to send official bid for Djed Spence if exit conditions change compared to €45m request post World Cup.

“Inter believe price can be under €40m now and talks will follow — back on track as exclusively revealed. Spence, keen on the move.”

Spurs face key decision as Spence returns from extended break

The full-back has yet to return to Hotspur Way since his World Cup campaign with England. He was given an extended break after managing a deep run into the competition.

Spence, however, is expected to return this week as preparations for the Premier League season begin to ramp up.

It remains to be seen if Tottenham budge on their valuation of Spence this summer. So far this transfer window, Spurs have made it a habit of selling their players at the right price.

It was recently revealed that Roberto De Zerbi is looking to keep Souza within his ranks despite interest from FC Porto. However, it is unclear if Spurs’ change of mind is linked with a possible Spence departure.
