Pape Matar Sarr is not the only Tottenham Hotspur player who is wanted by Galatasaray in the dying stages of the summer transfer window.
Sarr did not even make the matchday squad against Brentford, and Roberto De Zerbi has failed to rule out a late exit for the Senegal international.
Some outlets have said that Galatasaray are leading the race for the Tottenham midfielder and they have made progress in their pursuit.
In fact, according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the Turkish club have already agreed personal terms with Sarr and are now working on reaching an agreement with Spurs.

A new report in Fotospor (as relayed by Sport Witness) has now claimed that Galatasaray are also looking to bolster their forward line and have turned their attention to one of Spurs’ attackers.
The report says that the Turkish giants are exploring a deal to poach Mathys Tel, who started the Lilywhites’ opening game of the Premier League season against Brentford.
Galatasaray have held talks with the North London club regarding the Frenchman and their ‘efforts have intensified’ over the past few days.
Manager Okan Buruk sees Tel as cover for Victor Osimhen upfront, while the 21-year-old’s ability to operate on the wings also makes him an attractive target.

However, Fotospor make it clear that the former Bayern Munich man is not Galatasaray’s priority target, with the Super Lig side also working on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun.
Interestingly, it is explained that Frankfurt have ‘stirred things up’ by also expressing an interest in Tel over recent days.
While Galatasaray view the Tottenham man as one of their ‘most important alternatives’ to Uzun, it is revealed that Spurs will make a final decision on the France U21 international’s future based on the offers they receive.
