Tottenham Hotspur may face fresh competition for Sandro Tonali, with Newcastle United set to receive a huge offer from another Premier League rival.
Tottenham have already had a £75m offer turned down for Tonali, but they have not given up on their pursuit of the Italy international.
Several reliable sources have suggested that the Newcastle star has given the green light to join Spurs, who are now attempting to finalise an agreement with the Magpies.
It was reported by TEAMtalk on Monday that Tottenham were preparing a mammoth £100m offer for Tonali in an attempt to clinch the deal, but it turns out they are not the only ones contemplating such an offer.

Man City readying major bid for Tottenham target Sandro Tonali
Marca now report Spurs are expected to face competition from Man City for the Newcastle man, with a big offer potentially on its way to St James’ Park from Manchester.
It is revealed that having secured Elliot Anderson in a £116m deal, City are now keen to partner him with Tonali in the middle of the park.
Enzo Maresca’s men are now preparing a bid in the region of €110m (£95m) for the Italy international as they look to tempt the 26-year-old to the Etihad Stadium.
This comes as bad news for Tottenham, who have seemingly been working on a deal for Tonali for several weeks.
Tonali wants to keep his word to Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs
This update comes just a day after TEAMtalk reported that Man City have been surprised by Tottenham’s aggressive pursuit of Tonali this summer.
While City are a more attractive destination than Spurs, the Lilywhites may still be confident of winning the race for the Newcastle man.
This is because some reports from Italy have claimed that Tonali is keen on honouring his word to Roberto De Zerbi, having already informed the Tottenham boss that he would come to N17.
Spurs fans will be hoping that the midfielder keeps his word, but his head could well be turned by the prospect of a move to the Etihad Stadium.
