It has been reported over recent days that Spurs have been frustrated by City in their pursuit of Savinho, with the Lilywhites’ sources suggesting that the Manchester club have changed their valuation.
The North London club have already identified alternatives to the Brazilian, and they could soon be forced to move on from the 22-year-old.
Tottenham’s deadline to Man City for Savinho has expired
It emerged at the start of last week that Spurs had warned Man City they will walk away from the Savinho deal if it is not done by the weekend.
This has been reiterated by TEAMtalk, who say that Tottenham got no answer from City regarding the former Girona man last week.
The North London club had allegedly informed the Etihad hierarchy that they needed a final response by August 1 or August 2, but City are yet to give the green light.
As a result, it is suggested that De Zerbi’s men could now abandon their pursuit of the player and move on to other alternatives.
Savinho is putting pressure on Man City to sell to Spurs
