Tottenham Hotspur fans are nervously waiting for the club to announce the signings of Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, and the wait may not go on much longer.
It emerged last Friday that Spurs have agreed to pay £85m, including add-ons, for the signing of Savinho, and the Brazilian subsequently was not part of Man City’s matchday squad against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Marmoush was named on the bench for City’s Premier League opener, but just hours after the game, Fabrizio Romano gave his ‘here we go’ for the Egyptian’s move to N17.
The journalist revealed that Spurs have agreed an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy the forward for £50m next summer, but nearly two full days on, there has been no official announcement by the North London club regarding either transfer.

Savinho has completed Tottenham medical while Omar Marmoush is in London
Paul O’Keefe has now assuaged Spurs fans’ fears by revealing that Savinho has successfully passed his medical at Hotspur Way ahead of his move to Tottenham.
UPDATE – Tottenham have since announced Savinho as their official seventh signing of the summer.
He also revealed that Marmoush is currently in London in anticipation of his proposed move to North London being completed.
The Spurs insider said in two separate posts about Marmoush: “Marmoush is in the capital waiting. He’s in London because they could get the go-ahead at any moment.”
Man City are holding up Marmoush’s move to Spurs
This update comes just a day after O’Keefe said that the delay in the 27-year-old’s move to N17 is not Tottenham’s doing.
The Tottenham insider claimed that Marmoush and Spurs were waiting for Man City’s green light after reaching a full agreement over the transfer.
It is unclear why Enzo Maresca’s men are holding up the deal. Perhaps they want to bring another forward through the door before greenlighting the former Eintracht Frankfurt man’s sale.
