Tottenham have been busy in this summer’s transfer window, and by the end of the week the Lilywhites are set to surpass their highest-ever spend in a single window.
We are in the final week of the summer transfer window, and the next few days are expected to be busy for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites remain in the market for forward additions after having bolstered their midfield and defensive ranks.
However, new forward signings are not far from being completed by the Lilywhites, who are edging closer to completing deals for Manchester City duo Savinho and Omar Marmoush.
Tottenham close in on Savinho and Omar Marmoush deals worth £135m
It was reported last week that Tottenham and Man City had reached an £85 million agreement for Savinho after a year-long transfer saga.
The Brazilian international has since had his Spurs medical and is set to finalise his move to north London after agreeing a six-year deal with Tottenham.
His teammate Omar Marmoush is also closing in on a Spurs move. Yesterday it was reported that Tottenham had reached a verbal agreement with Man City to sign the Egyptian forward on an initial loan with a buy clause to become mandatory under certain conditions at £50m.
The signing of the two players will now take Spurs’ transfer spend for the summer to £372m. Of course, with Marmoush coming in on loan, his £50m mandatory fee will be paid next season.
Spurs’ business this summer now stands as the highest amount the club has ever spent in a single transfer window.

Spurs’ next steps after Savinho and Marmoush deals
It remains to be seen if Tottenham will still look to bring in any more forward signings after completing deals for Marmoush and Savinho.
Reports claim that Spurs remain keen on Cody Gakpo, but so far there has been radio silence regarding a move for the Liverpool man.
It is understood that Andoni Iraola’s men are looking to complete a move for £130m-rated Bradley Barcola first before Gakpo can then decide on his future.
