The signing of Savinho is now close to being officially confirmed, with the Brazilian set to undergo his Tottenham medical ahead of his £85 million transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur look to have finally got their man, Savinho, this summer transfer window after a year of back and forth with Manchester City.

It is understood that a £75 million deal has been agreed for Savinho to join Tottenham this summer, according to respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Add-ons should take the deal up to £85m.

Spurs are also said to have handed the 22-year-old Brazilian winger a six-year contract which should keep him in north London until 2032.

Savinho set for Tottenham medical after £85m agreement

With the move close to being finalised, Tottenham are now preparing to take the next steps to complete Savinho’s move to north London.

That is according to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, who claims that Spurs have scheduled Savinho’s medical for this afternoon (Friday) in London following the club’s £85 million agreement with Man City.

Once his medicals are completed without any issues, the 22-year-old’s official announcement will then be made, with Savinho becoming Spurs’ seventh signing this summer transfer window.

Tottenham are currently racing against time to complete Savinho’s Premier League registration before the Brentford clash on Saturday evening.

Lyall Thomas also provided an update on Spurs’ chances of getting Savinho registered in time, writing on X when asked if it is still a midday cutoff to be registered for the weekend.

He said: “Yes. Registration cutoff always at midday on match-day minus one.” That means Tottenham must now complete Savinho’s registration today by 12:00 noon.

Spurs record spend could rise further as Marmoush pursuit continues

Before the addition of Savinho, Tottenham’s £237 million expenditure this summer was ranked second in the club’s entire history.

However, with another £75 million spent to bring the Brazilian to north London, this summer now marks the club’s biggest ever spend in a transfer window, surpassing 2024 by £40 million when Spurs spent £272 million.

But with Tottenham still not done this summer, these figures could still soar even further as the Lilywhites work on a deal to bring Omar Marmoush to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
