The Sun have now revealed that Spurs have expressed an interest in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who has returned to West London following an unsuccessful loan spell at Bayern Munich last term.
Jackson found starts hard to come by at the Allianz Arena, only managing 11 goals while serving as an understudy to Harry Kane.
The Senegal international is currently on pre-season tour with Chelsea, and he is also attracting interest from Aston Villa.
The report asserts Chelsea value the striker at £65m but the Lilywhites are yet to make a formal approach for the 25-year-old.
Spurs want to add three attackers to their squad
The Sun say that De Zerbi would ideally like to make three additions to Tottenham’s forward line before the window slams shut at the end of the month.
Alongside their interest in Jackson, the North Londoners are continuing talks with Man City and Liverpool regarding Savinho and Cody Gakpo, respectively.
Ahead of Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Chelsea in Sydney last Saturday, De Zerbi confirmed that he expects two or three more players to arrive at N17 before the window slams shut.
