After securing the services of Andy Robertson, Tottenham Hotspur have now completed the signing of a second free agent this summer.
Roberto De Zerbi was clear in stating that Spurs are in need of major reinforcements this summer to ensure that what happened last season does not repeat itself.
It appears that the Tottenham hierarchy have listened to their head coach, with the club wasting no time in getting started with their rebuild.
Andy Robertson became the first player to join Spurs this window, and another Premier League defender has now also followed the Scotsman to North London.

Tottenham confirm signing of Marcos Senesi
It has been widely reported over the last few days that Spurs are on the verge of landing Marcos Senesi on a free transfer, with the centre-back’s deal with Bournemouth set to run out.
Senesi and Tottenham had been locked in contract negotiations over the last few days, and they have now reached a breakthrough.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Senesi has officially signed a four-year deal, following Robertson through the door at Hotspur Way. The medical is done, the move is complete, and there was never any risk of a hijack, says the Italian transfer specialist.
Romano wrote on X: “Tottenham have completed their double free agent signings as planned since April. After Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi joins on a four-year deal until June 2030 – never in doubt, no chance for hijacks as Marcos said yes to Spurs weeks ago. Medical done today.”
Andy Robertson and Senesi signings signal shift in how Spurs operate in the transfer window
Many Tottenham fans may not view these as ambitious signings, given that both players have arrived on free transfers.
However, Spurs never used to compete for the most talented free agents, partly because they were hesitant to match the wages other clubs were offering.
The capture of Robertson and Senesi thus illustrates a shift in how the Lilywhites operate, with the club willing to hand big contracts to ageing players.
