The representatives of a Tottenham Hotspur starlet have reached out to Barcelona over a sensational move to Camp Nou.

Spurs are expected to be extremely busy in the final weeks of the transfer window, with the club still having plenty of work to do.

Roberto De Zerbi has said he expects at least two signings to arrive through the door before the window slams shut, with Tottenham’s forward line in need of reinforcements.

Additionally, several senior Spurs stars have been backed to exit N17, with one of them now eyeing a move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall’s camp has sounded out Barcelona

One of the players who continues to be linked with an exit from Spurs is Lucas Bergvall, who has already attracted concrete interest from Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Brighton.

Foot Mercato now report that Barcelona have now been offered the chance to sign the Tottenham midfielder.

The report reveals that Bergvall’s representatives are looking for a way out of Hotspur Way, and have now sounded out Barca.

The Catalan club were very interested in the Swede a couple of years ago, and the player even visited the club’s training ground, but he eventually chose to reject their advances in favour of a move to North London.

The report reveals that so far, the La Liga club’s directors have shown no intention of reviving their interest in Bergvall this summer.

Spurs expect new offers for Bergvall over the coming days

Some sources have said over the last week that Tottenham have changed their stance on Bergvall and are prepared to keep him after De Zerbi informed them it would be a mistake to let him go. Bergvall was said to be valued at around £60m.

However, Football Insider revealed a couple of days ago that Spurs have failed to persuade the 21-year-old to stay, with the player reiterating that he is keen on an exit.

The same update added that Tottenham are now expecting Newcastle and Forest to return with improved offers for Bergvall, after both of them saw their opening offers turned down.
