Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has now provided a transfer update on Tottenham summer target Savinho.
Tottenham Hotspur remain busy in the summer transfer market as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.
The last couple of weeks have seen Tottenham turn their attention to player sales, with as many as eight to nine departures soon to be completed this summer.
Incomings could also be on the horizon, with Spurs’ focus expected to turn to improving their attack.
Tottenham receive Savinho transfer update from Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca
Savinho has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham this summer transfer window. The Manchester City wide forward is understood to have agreed personal terms with Spurs.
Reports in the last few weeks have even stated that Savinho has handed in a transfer request as he looks to secure a move away from Manchester.
Still, the Brazilian remains in sky blue, but head coach Enzo Maresca has now provided an update on the future of the 22-year-old, admitting that anything can still happen while the transfer window remains open.
He said: “In this moment, there are many speculations about our players. Savinho is not the only one. Again, for me, it is the same, until Savinho is here we want to try to do our best. You know, to help him, how we can improve and then unfortunately, we said many times when the transfer window is open anything can happen, so we need to be ready for that.”
Spurs considering alternatives as Savinho transfer stalls
Reports do have it that City are looking to bring in a replacement for Savinho before he can be allowed to depart Manchester.
Pedro Neto of Chelsea is one such star to have been linked with a move to City. Spurs were also linked with the Blues winger, but those reports have been squashed.
With Maresca’s side proving a tough nut to crack, reports from the last few weeks have stated that Tottenham are considering other wide forward alternatives.
Antonio Nusa is another winger on Tottenham’s radar, the same as Bahoya, who is also reported to be on Spurs’ list.
