Richarlison has already agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor, who are expected to return with an improved offer after Tottenham rejected two bids for the forward.
Tottenham Hotspur had agreed a £35m deal for Richarlison with Everton at the weekend, but the striker’s proposed return to Merseyside ultimately fell through after he was unable to reach an agreement over personal terms with his former club.
The summer 2026 transfer window is officially over, but Richarlison could still make his way out of Tottenham in the coming days.
That is because the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 4, while clubs in Saudi Arabia have until September 6 to register new players.
Spurs Web have recently relayed multiple reports regarding Trabzonspor’s interest in Richarlison, and Fabrizio Romano has now provided a significant update on the Turkish club’s pursuit of the Tottenham forward.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Trabzonspor will return with a third bid
We had already reported that Tottenham rejected two bids from Trabzonspor for Richarlison, who had given his verbal agreement to the Turkish club and was reportedly ‘pressurising’ Tottenham to accept their offer.
Romano has now revealed more details surrounding the negotiations, including the figures involved.
The Italian journalist claims that Richarlison has agreed to join Trabzonspor, with the salary on offer set to be three times what he currently earns at Tottenham. Richarlison is understood to earn around £90,000 per week at Spurs.
As for the offers Tottenham have rejected, Romano reports that the first was worth £15m, while the second was £20m. The Turkish club have not given up, however, with another offer ‘anticipated soon’ as they view Richarlison as their ‘priority target’.
He wrote on X:
“Richarlison has agreed to join Trabzonspor with salary agreed, x3 more than what he currently earns at Tottenham.
Spurs rejected two bids worth £15m and £20m; new proposal anticipated soon.
Trabzonspor want Richy as priority.”
How much Tottenham Hotspur want for Richarlison
Richarlison’s desire to leave Tottenham has become something of an open secret by this point, with Roberto De Zerbi himself publicly acknowledging that the forward has asked him ‘too many times’ he wants to leave.
The major question now is whether Trabzonspor can get close enough to Tottenham’s asking price to make a deal possible. Some sources have claimed that Spurs would want close to £40m for the Brazilian international, having paid Everton £60m for his services in the summer of 2022.
The £35m agreement Tottenham reached with Everton at the weekend could also provide an indication of where the club may be prepared to settle.
