Tottenham Hotspur’s Will Lankshear is attracting attention from elsewhere, but the club appear determined to stand firm on their valuation.

While Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to go on a spending spree as they aim to strengthen their current squad, several players could also be forced out the door.

Last season, Spurs sent plenty of youngsters out on loan, with a few coming on leaps and bounds. Among those was Will Lankshear, who impressed while at Oxford United, scoring 12 goals and registering four assists for the Championship side.

However, he could not help them maintain their place in the second division and he has since returned to Tottenham.

Tottenham set £20m Will Lankshear transfer valuation

Spurs Web recently shared footage of Lankshear training outdoors in preparation for next season. This was followed by reports that the forward was set to be given a chance to prove himself this campaign.

However, according to Hayters, it is understood that Lankshear is now attracting interest from clubs across Europe.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have turned down several approaches as they hold firm on their £20m asking price for the forward.

Portuguese side Sporting are among the clubs said to be interested, as they believe Lankshear could have a similar impact to Viktor Gyokeres during his time in Portugal.

Spurs weighing up Will Lankshear future

It is further explained that Lankshear is highly rated by Tottenham, but they could be tempted to sell him if the right offer arrives.

However, an outright sale is not the only option being considered, with another Championship loan move remaining on the cards.

Middlesbrough came close to Tottenham’s valuation in January, with the Championship side offering £15m, but both Spurs and the player opted against a sale.

Lankshear currently has three years remaining on his deal, and with Tottenham looking to embark on a spending spree after completing deals for Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, they may need to sanction a few sales as well.
