Tottenham Hotspur may need to act fast if they want to win the race for Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz.
While De Zerbi seemed to suggest that signing a new right-back is not a priority for Spurs, reports claim that the club are still on the lookout for potential options in that position.
According to a recent update by BBC Sport, the Tottenham boss would prefer a right-back with Premier League experience to serve as Pedro Porro’s understudy rather than Archie Gray.
However, with the transfer window now close to its end, one of the club’s rumoured defensive targets could be joining their Premier League rivals instead.

It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Tottenham are keeping an eye on Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz, whose future at Selhurst Park remains up in the air.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Nottingham Forest have launched a £22m offer for the Eagles right-back, with Oliver Glasner keen on reuniting with the player at the City Ground.
The journalist revealed that Palace are now considering the offer for Munoz, who has just two years left on his deal in South London.
It thus appears that De Zerbi’s men would have to act fast if they harbour a desire to secure the Colombia international.
Another Premier League right-back is also on Spurs’ radar
It has been reported since the start of the summer that Spurs are considering a move for Nottingham Forest star Neco Williams.
It was previously claimed that Forest are determined to keep the full-back at the City Ground and are working on tying him down to a new contract.
However, one wonders if Glasner’s men could change their stance on the Wales international in the final days of the window if they are able to get Munoz through the door.
