‘Tottenham will sign Savinho’ – Man City close in on £65m sale but Spurs aren’t done yet

A confident claim has been made about Savinho joining Tottenham Hotspur for £65m from Man City this summer.

Spurs have spent £237m on six new additions to their squad this summer, but there has been a bit of a lull in terms of new signings over the past few weeks following the arrival of Sandro Tonali.

The Lilywhites have been focused on outgoings over recent weeks, with the likes of Radu Dragusin, Luka Vuskovic and Alejo Veliz departing the club.

That is now expected to change over the coming days, with one of Tottenham’s long-term targets expected to soon arrive in N17.

Savinho will sign for Tottenham next

Earlier this summer, it was suggested that Spurs were on the verge of signing Savinho from Man City, but the Lilywhites decided to prioritise other transfer pursuits instead.

That is now expected to change, with The Daily Mail now claiming that the Brazilian winger ‘will’ complete a move to Tottenham from the Etihad Stadium.

The report claims that City are about to ‘close the sale’ of Savinho to Tottenham for around £65m, two years after he arrived at Manchester.

The Lilywhites want two more forward options after signing the Brazilian, and are still alert to potential market opportunities.

Additionally, the report adds that as City prepare to finalise the 22-year-old’s sale to Spurs, they have already begun efforts to sign a replacement, and that too affects Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

The report reads: ‘City are looking for wingers as they close the sale of Savinho to Tottenham for around £65million. Spurs will sign Savinho but want two more forward options and are alert to opportunities in the market.’

Man City’s Savinho replacement is also on Spurs’ radar

The Mail say that Enzo Maresca’s men have identified Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye as the man to replace the Tottenham-bound Savinho.

Interestingly, the outlet adds that Mbaye is also on Spurs’ summer wishlist, while the 18-year-old is also wanted by the likes of Aston Villa and RB Leipzig.

It was previously reported that the Spurs target is valued by PSG at €35m (£30m) as he looks to depart Paris in search of regular game time.
