With four sales already confirmed this summer for a combined £85.1m, we have decided to go down memory lane and rank Tottenham’s last 20 sales from the cheapest to the most expensive.
While Tottenham Hotspur have moved with great ambition in this summer transfer window, bringing several players through the door after a disastrous 2025/26 season, such ambition has not always been on display.
Up until this summer, Spurs’ most expensive summer signing was Dominic Solanke, who joined from Bournemouth for £65m back in 2024.
However, when it comes to sales, Tottenham have never been shy of sanctioning big-money departures. They once held the record for the biggest sale in football history when Gareth Bale was sold to Real Madrid for £85.1m (€100.8m) in 2013.
Spurs topped that a decade later with the sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in 2023, surpassing Bale’s record. This summer, Tottenham have moved with more balance, combining big signings with shrewd sales.
While Spurs have signed six players for £237m, they have also managed the sale of four players totalling £85.1m, leaving them with a net spend of £152m.

Four Spurs players could still break into list of biggest sales
Other players could still join this list, with Cristian Romero possibly overtaking Luka Vuskovic if he is sold for more than £50m.
Richarlison could potentially fetch Tottenham £15m should he secure a move away from N17, while Guglielmo Vicario could also earn Spurs another £15m.
Lucas Bergvall has the potential to break into the top five if he is moved on for the £45m he is currently valued at.
