Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a busy summer transfer window so far, and with the window about to slam shut, we have now taken a look at what the club’s balance sheet looks like following their busy activity.
The Lilywhites started the transfer window strongly, completing six signings and spending a whopping £237 million in the process. Tottenham then added the likes of Omar Marmoush and Savinho to see the total climb to just under £400m.
But Spurs‘ focus during the transfer market has not just been on incomings alone, with Tottenham also sanctioning as many departures, getting rid of players who wanted out.
For the past few weeks, Tottenham’s income from sales stood at £204 million, but that figure has since changed with the transfer window about to slam shut.
Tottenham take summer transfer spend to £389m
The final days of the summer transfer market have just been equally as busy for Tottenham, who have remained active in the transfer window.
The departure of centre-back Kevin Danso has forced Spurs into the market for a defender as they look to maintain their depth at the back.
Tottenham’s search landed them with Tosin Adarabioyo, a player they have signed for £7 million, including add-ons that remain unknown.
However, Spurs have not only secured a centre-back signing, but they have also completed a loan signing of a wide forward ahead of the window slamming shut.
Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk is the latest to come through the door in north London after Spurs and their London rivals agreed on a loan deal.
It is understood that Tottenham hold an option to buy the Ukrainian, with the figure coming in at £75 million.
Spurs have also sanctioned a few departures in the final hours of the transfer window. Kevin Danso has secured a loan move to Sunderland, with a £25 million obligation to buy included in the deal.
Pape Matar Sarr has also completed a loan move to Juventus, with the Old Lady holding a conditional obligation to buy the 23-year-old midfielder.
One of those conditions is that Sarr would have to play 50 per cent of the club’s matches this season, while the other condition is that Juve will have to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Should those conditions be met, then Sarr would be signed for £25.6 million next summer. With all these pieces of business agreed, Tottenham’s spend this summer is now up to £389 million, while their income from outgoings stands at £254.8 million, leaving their net spend for the summer at £134.2 million.
