It’s transfer deadline day in England, leaving teams with just a few hours before the summer transfer window officially slams shut at 11 pm tonight, and Tottenham could still have plenty of business to complete before then.
Spurs have already been one of the busier sides, with the Lilywhites having completed eight new signings this summer, while a few more deals are on the verge of becoming official.
In terms of sales, Tottenham have been equally as busy, racking up a remarkable £204 million from departures this transfer window.
However, with a few hours left before the transfer market closes, Spurs could still complete as many as 13 transfers, and here are all of them.
Mykhailo Mudryk transfer: Tottenham close in on loan deal
It has been a transfer deadline-day fiasco for Spurs in securing that final forward addition this summer.
The Lilywhites showed a keen interest in signing Cody Gakpo for most of this summer, but Manchester City’s involvement forced Spurs to turn their attention elsewhere.
Iliman Ndiaye then became the Lilywhites’ alternative for Gakpo, but once again, City showed interest and this time they beat Spurs to the signature of the Everton man.
Tottenham have now settled for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk as they look to take the wide forward on loan with an option to buy standing at £75 million.
Mudryk himself is open to a Spurs move, while Fabrizio Romano has appended his Here We Go seal of approval, leaving official announcements as the next step for the signing to become official, that is, of course, if there are no more twists.
Tosin Adarabioyo set for Spurs transfer
A centre-back addition is also on the horizon for Tottenham today, as they are closing in on a deal for Tosin Adarabioyo.
The Chelsea man has been identified as a replacement for Kevin Danso, who is himself edging closer to a move to Sunderland.
Tosin is set to cost Spurs just £7 million this summer. A move is close to being finalised, with Romano already handing out a Here We Go for the deal, leaving the club announcement as the final step before the move can be completed.
Richarlison transfer: Tottenham forward could leave
Departures are also expected to be a big theme this deadline for Spurs, and one player who could well be on his way out is Richarlison.
The Brazilian could well have departed sooner had he opted for a move to Everton when Spurs were negotiating to get Ndiaye to north London.
However, with Richarlison choosing to stay put, the forward will have to find a club elsewhere. Interest in Richarlison remains across Europe, with sides in Turkey and Italy keen on his services, while Saudi Arabia remains an option.
Tottenham value the centre-forward at £40 million, but that valuation might drop as they look to ship the forward out. But a report has hinted that Richarlison might well stay put. It is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Pape Sarr set for Juventus loan from Spurs
Pape Sarr is a player De Zerbi confirmed asked to leave Tottenham this summer, and work has already been done to find the Senegal midfielder a new club.
Interest was plentiful in Sarr, with sides in the Premier League keen on his services alongside AS Monaco.
However, it is Juventus who have managed to agree personal terms with the midfielder, while also agreeing a loan deal with Spurs.
Romano gave the deal his Here We Go seal of approval yesterday and official confirmation could soon follow.
Tottenham’s Kevin Danso closes in on Sunderland transfer
Many would be scratching their heads as to why the defender waited until the final days of the transfer window before handing in a transfer request.
His decision to leave this summer has surely left Spurs scrambling for a replacement. But Danso is keen on playing regularly, and he is now close to securing a move that will give him just that.
Sunderland are understood to have reached an agreement with Danso and have reached a loan deal with Tottenham for the centre-back. The loan option would include a £25 million buy obligation. With Tosin through the door, this deal is sure to go through.
Dane Scarlett could leave Spurs on loan
The loan theme could very much continue, and Scarlett could well be shipped off for his fifth loan spell at Tottenham.
There is interest in Scarlett from League One, with the likes of Reading, Huddersfield Town, Notts County, Leyton Orient, Burton Albion and AFC Wimbledon all looking to strengthen their attacking options and have the Spurs man on their radar.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham choose to loan him to the English third tier, or if a loan to a much higher division in England or Europe will be secured.
Kota Takai loan: Tottenham defender wanted by STVV
Another loan move for Takai could be secured in the final few hours of the transfer window following his disappointing spell at Borussia Monchengladbach, where injuries prevented him from getting much game time.
Spurs Web reported yesterday that Tottenham are looking to loan the centre-back once more this summer, but this time to the Belgian Pro League.
STVV are the side who are keen on signing Takai temporarily this summer, with the club having Japanese owners and a history of working with Japanese players.
Tyrese Hall attracts Championship interest as Spurs consider loan
The midfielder was involved in Roberto De Zerbi’s pre-season camp, featuring against Hoffenheim twice and against Auckland in Spurs’ tour of Australia.
Hall, of course, is no stranger to a loan move, having been sent out to Notts County last season, in what was his first taste of senior football, scoring eight goals for the League Two club.
The midfielder could now be set for a loan to a higher division, with reports claiming that there is interest in Hall from Championship sides, including Southampton, Millwall and Hull City.
There is also interest from clubs in League One and in Scotland.
Callum Olusesi could leave Tottenham on loan
Another youngster could follow Hall on his way out, and that is Olusesi. The youngster has featured for the Spurs first team three times in his young career.
However, he has never been loaned out despite being 19 years old, but that could change in the final hours of the transfer window, with interest from Fiorentina, who are looking to loan the teenager.
George Abbott loan interest emerges ahead of deadline
The midfielder had two loan spells last season, first at Wycombe Wanderers, but he was recalled and sent out to Mansfield Town in January after struggling for regular starts at Adams Park Stadium in the first half of the season.
Abbott’s season, however, was cut short after he suffered a season-ending quad injury that forced him to return to Hotspur Way as he worked on recovering.
With the midfielder back fit, another loan could be on the cards in the final hours of the transfer window, with Mansfield Town showing interest.
Damola Ajayi could leave Spurs on loan
Tottenham are now expected to explore another temporary move for Ajayi, with a club in a higher division viewed as the next step in his development
Damola Ajayi has already gained valuable experience away from Tottenham, featuring in both League One and League Two last season.
The 20-year-old spent the first half of last season with Doncaster Rovers before joining Bromley for the remainder of the campaign, completing two loan spells in the process.
Alfie Dorrington loan interest remains ahead of deadline
Dorrington came close to securing a move away from Spurs earlier in the summer after Polish side Pogon Szczecin agreed a deal with Spurs to sign the centre-back.
However, that deal fell through, with Dorrington instead keen on remaining in the UK instead of moving abroad.
Still, interest remains plentiful in the centre-back, with reports stating that a return to League Two is likely following his loan spell with Salford City last season, while sides from higher divisions are also keeping tabs on the Spurs academy graduate.
James Rowswell given permission to leave Tottenham on loan
The centre-back made his first Tottenham appearance last season in a game against Liverpool after coming off the bench.
However, to aid his development further, the youngster looks set to be headed out on loan this summer transfer window.
Interest in Rowswell has come from sides in League One, with Tottenham giving the defender permission to explore his options with only a few hours remaining before the transfer window closes.
