Tottenham’s Wilson Odobert has provided an update on his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered last season, with the Premier League campaign now fast approaching.

Tottenham Hotspur still have several players dealing with fitness issues ahead of the opening weekend of the Premier League, which is now a little over a week away.

James Maddison, Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven have yet to feature for Spurs in pre-season despite being in and around the squad.

Meanwhile, long-term absentees Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus finally returned to the training pitches earlier this month.

Wilson Odobert shares injury update as Tottenham await winger returns

A few other players remain out with long-term injuries, including Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, who both suffered ACL injuries last season.

Simons was spotted in the gym earlier this summer as he continues his rehabilitation, and now Odobert has shared an update on his own recovery.

The young Frenchman sustained his ACL injury in February when Tottenham faced Manchester United. He has been sidelined for six months.

However, on his Instagram story, the wide forward provided an update on his recovery posting a picture of himself in boots accompanied by prayer emojis and fire hearts.

It appeared as though he was getting kitted up for some outdoor activity, although nothing of that nature has been confirmed. Odobert is not expected to return until 2027.

Spurs winger search continues as De Zerbi assesses options

Tottenham have been in the market for wingers this summer as Roberto De Zerbi aims to strengthen his squad.

A handful of wide options have been sounded out as targets, including Cody Gakpo, Savinho and Antonio Nusa. However, Spurs have not been able to reach an agreement with any of their targets so far.

Mathys Tel remains the club’s only fit left-wing option and, with Odobert surely still months away from a return, Tottenham will need more left and right-wing additions before the window slams shut.
