Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed whether there is any chance of Spurs’ deal for Marcos Senesi being hijacked by one of their Premier League rivals.
Several outlets have claimed over the last few weeks that Senesi has agreed to join Tottenham on a free transfer after his deal with Bournemouth ran out.
Spurs Web has previously relayed reports suggesting that the Lilywhites are currently working on a four-year contract for the Argentine defender.
Florian Plettenberg even asserted last week that Senesi’s move to Spurs is a ‘done deal’, but the fears of a potential hijack are growing as no announcement has been forthcoming yet from the North London club.

Paul O’Keefe is confident Tottenham will win Marcos Senesi race
Over the weekend, GiveMeSport claimed that the chances of Liverpool hijacking Spurs’ deal for Senesi had gone up, due to developments over recent days.
It was explained that Andoni Iraola, who reportedly agreed a deal to replace Arne Slot at Anfield, may look to reunite with the Argentine in Merseyside.
However, Paul O’Keefe, who is usually very reliable when it comes to the latest developments at Hotspur Way, believes that there is no chance of the Senesi deal being hijacked at this stage.
When asked if there is any danger of Liverpool poaching the 29-year-old, O’Keefe simply responded with: “No”.
Why have Spurs not announced the Senesi signing yet
It has been widely reported that Tottenham had reached verbal agreements with both Senesi and Andy Robertson last week, and many may be wondering why the club have not confirmed either signing yet.
Spurs Web has learned that Spurs are waiting for Senesi’s and Robertson’s current deals to run out before announcing their transfers.
It thus appears that only formalities are left to be agreed, with the announcements from the North London club likely around the corner.
