Tottenham Hotspur had a very busy transfer deadline day, with several incomings and exits being finalised before the 11 pm deadline.

What was an ambitious summer window for Spurs ended with a bit of a whimper, as the Lilywhites scrambled to fill some holes in their squad.

In the end, Tottenham secured deals for both Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea, with Kevin Danso and Pape Sarr sealing exits from the club.

Kota Takai also sealed a loan move to Belgian side Sint-Truidense V.V in search of regular game time.

Tottenham winger Damola Ajayi joins Barnet

Spurs have also confirmed that in the final hours of the transfer market, winger Damola Ajayi completed a loan move to Barnet in League Two.

The 20-year-old featured for Roberto De Zerbi’s side in their pre-season friendly against Hoffenheim, which was played at Hotspur Way last month. Ajayi also scored in the behind-closed-doors friendly against the Spurs U21s this summer.

The youngster spent the second half of last term on loan at Bromley in the same division, making 11 appearances, helping them to the league title and promotion to the third tier for the first time in their history.

George Abbott returns to the same club he was at last season

Another academy midfielder also left Hotspur Way to move to the EFL in the final hours of transfer deadline day.

Spurs confirmed that midfielder George Abbott will return to Mansfield Town on loan after spending the second half of last season at the League One club.

The 21-year-old’s spell at Mansfield was cut short by a big injury back in April, and he spent the summer break rehabilitating, which is why he was not part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour to Australia and New Zealand.
