Fabrizio Romano has revealed the latest developments in Tottenham’s attempts to strike a deal for Manchester City’s Savinho.
Tottenham have completed the signings of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers, and they are now seemingly working on more challenging deals.
The next to arrive through the door at Spurs could be Savinho, for whom the Lilywhites are reportedly preparing an offer.
Some outlets have said that Man City are ready to sell the winger to Roberto De Zerbi’s side after the 22-year-old struggled for starts under Pep Guardiola last season.
Fabrizio Romano reveals what work Tottenham have left to clinch Savinho deal
Over the past few days, some updates have suggested that Spurs are optimistic of landing Savinho, mainly because the player is keen on swapping the Etihad Stadium for N17.
This has now been backed up by Fabrizio Romano, who says that the winger has already greenlighted a transfer and Tottenham are now working to reach an agreement with Manchester City.
Romano said on his YouTube channel (as relayed by GiveMeSport): “Tottenham are going for Savinho, Tottenham feel that the player wants the move, Tottenham feel that Savinho one year ago was already ready to go to Spurs.
“Savinho was attracted to Tottenham one year ago, and Savinho is attracted to Tottenham today, so on the player’s side I don’t see big issues. I think on the player’s side Savinho to Tottenham can get done quite soon.
“Now it’s on Manchester City and Tottenham, negotiating, discussing, talking about the transfer fee, but Spurs are in it, they are working on the Savinho deal.”

All indications are that all three parties want to reach an agreement, which suggests that the deal is likely to go through.
In fact, ESPN Brazil reported on Friday that Tottenham are expected to submit an offer for Savinho over the coming days after holding talks with City.
That suggests that we may see this deal progress over the coming weeks, with the Brazilian set to be De Zerbi’s first attacking signing if things go to plan.
