C-virus

Recommended Posts

I've just phoned a mate in Tenerife. Spain has called a lock down and that has included the Canary Islands. No one can leave their homes. Only I person can leave to go shopping, you have to take a prescription with you to go a chemist and you have to cary a letter of authority to travel to work. All tourist shops and restaurants have had  to close! Tough times for them.

One of today's papers headline said the over 70s are going to be made to stay at home!!! If this peak period lasts the 16 weeks they predict it will be purgatory. Me and the Mrs locked together for nearly 4 months? It won't be the coronavirus that is the cause of a death, it will be my Mrs murdering me. LOL

I think my luck is really out at the moment. I have been asked by the Government to stay indoors because  of the coronavirus. But can I pass the time watching football? No! All football cancelled probably for months. Can I watch alternatives sport instead? No. That's also been cancelled. What has made this more annoying? 3 weeks ago I changed my BT account to include all BT sport and all Sky sport costing me another £21 a month! I'm paying all this extra money and all sport cancelled!!!!

I can't even soften the pain by having another holiday!!

4 months of just me and the Mrs. She has, already started her list of jobs to do starting with clearing out the garage next week.!!

Oh Well! As we Spurs supporters say, 'There's always next season!!!  LOL

Badminton’s on m8 bt sport live

Did you see the 44 shot rally in the men's final?

Grudgingly I will have to admit I'm a tad short of their standard. Mind you, I am giving them about 50 years!!!

LOL

I' ve just received an email saying the bridge club is suspended. I suspect the gym will be told to close in the next week or two.

It seems the only thing I have got left to join in is this forum. At least the light hasn't totally gone out.

I have just received a worrying message from the bridge club. A guy from the club is seriously is in hospital with the coronavirus and I was playing at the club when he was there 11 days ago. I don't know where that leaves me - I shall have to wait and see whether I will be told to self isolate. As 11 days have already past, I hope I will be free from isolation in 3 days.

I never really thought our little market time would get caught up in this - especially as I have been checking on cases in Leicestershire. There have only been 6 cases so it is amazing that 1 is in Ashby. This proves we all have to be alert and take care.

Sadly, you are too late with your advice. The wife found the porn mags years ago and kept them for herself. Also, she has put up a tent on the back lawn which I am not allowed to come out of! It was bloody cold last night as she has only given me 1 blanket. She reckons staying freezing cold will kill off any virus if I have it. I think she is just being vindictive to get me back for a drunken fling I had half a century ago at a Christmas party.
