Pedro Porro’s injury timeline has now been revealed after the full‑back was forced off just 19 minutes into Tottenham’s clash with Aston Villa.
Tottenham Hotspur’s injury list looks far healthier this campaign compared to the last two seasons, with only five players currently sidelined.
Of those five, two injuries date back to the end of last season, when Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons suffered ACL problems.
Dejan Kulusevski is also on the list, with the Sweden international working his way back to full fitness after spending around 500 days out.
That leaves Tottenham with Pedro Porro and Mykhailo Mudryk as the players sidelined due to knocks sustained this season. Mudryk picked up his injury in training – a scenario Roberto De Zerbi described as “stupid” – while Porro was forced off after 19 minutes in Spurs’ clash against Aston Villa.
| Injured player | Injury | Potential Return |
| Wilson Odobert | Knee | November 2026 |
| Xavi Simons | Knee | 2027 |
| Mykhailo Mudryk | Ankle | November 2026 |
| Dejan Kulusevski | Fitness | Unknown |
| Pedro Porro | Hamstring | Unknown |

Tottenham Pedro Porro’s injury timeline revealed
Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi has since admitted that Porro’s injury could be a hamstring problem, but many fans feared the worst after the Spaniard’s ominous message following his knock.
Porro wrote: “Sometimes you have to stop, take a breath and start again. Now it’s time to recover and trust the process. I’ll come back stronger, hungrier and more motivated than ever. This is just another obstacle on the road. See you soon.”
This led supporters to believe Porro was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but The Athletic has now revealed that the full-back is expected to be out for only a month as he recovers from his hamstring injury.
A month out is not as bad as feared, though Porro will still miss some key fixtures for Tottenham.
The clash against Manchester United after the international break is expected to come too soon for the 27-year-old. Porro could also miss Spurs’ home match against Coventry on 19 October, but he may return in time for the London derby against Chelsea on 24 October.

Spurs options while Pedro Porro recovers
Porro had received an international call-up to represent Spain after his stellar World Cup, but he has since withdrawn. With the international break lasting three weeks, he can now focus fully on recovery with no club games on the horizon.
The full-back has already started rehabilitation, sharing a photo of himself working in the gym at Hotspur Way despite De Zerbi giving many of his Spurs teammates seven days off.
In his absence, Spurs are likely to turn to Archie Gray to cover at right-back after failing to secure a natural option in the summer transfer window. Gray has proven solid when deployed there, but he is not at Porro’s level and prefers to play in midfield.

De Zerbi could also opt to use Tosin Adarabioyo at right-back or switch to a back three to cope with Porro’s absence.
