I know a lot of people in Ashby, but they have families and long term friends so rarely have a window to spend much time for me. I play bridge, badminton and go to the gym and, when I am there, I have many friends and it is very enjoyable. However, that is the extent of my socialising. This shutdown trapped indoors is going to be difficult for my wife an me. This forum is a Godsend for me. That is why I post so much on here. If there is a thread where we can add a view, I try and keep it going so I can chat to someone. I felt uncomfortable giving a view on Asc's post, as it could too easily be misconstrued as having a dig which was the last thing I wanted. That I why I started this post with 'be yourself'. That is what Asc was doing his post and I with mine. Everyone who posts on here I regard as my 'arms length' friends and you all fill a huge gap in my life. We are so lucky to have him taking control. Oh! I forget to mention I also believe in Leprechauns and that the the moon is made of cheese. Well, keep smiling, and in my case, keep taking the tablets. Jamesinashby 3810 Report post Posted March 26, 2020 The coronavirus is playing havoc with football with a worst case scenario of not being able to complete the leagues. The FA has today taken an interesting decision which may just indicate what may happen with the EPL. All football in England below the 3 divisions that make up the National League will end immediately and all results expunged. It means there will be no promotion or relegation in the leagues. They are still looking at ways the EPL and Championship can be be finished. If, however, the worst case happens leaving no time to complete the league, will they expunge all results for this season? Selfishly, I would love that to happen as we will definitely be in the CL. Starting next season with all our injured stars back, a hope Harry and Sonny will give us at least to Christmas before leaving, the new ones from the last window, plus any we buy in the summer window, all that will give JM a great chance to prove he has still got it.
